Breeding Program
German Shepherds
Our German Shepherd are all pure European/German bloodlines which have been imported or are puppies born and raised from imports. We have spent a lot of time selecting and matching the best bloodline to produce the best quality pups for temperament, health, intelligence, and trainability. Hena-C Kennel specializes in East German/Czech lines which produce a stocky, large boned, dark pigmented dog. We have found that these lines make great family pets with super trainability, laid back disposition, and are very social and beautiful to look at. Most of our puppies go to family homes as pets but we also have many doing, schutzhund/IPO, search and rescue, competition obedience, and therapy as well.
We spend a lot of time with the dogs from day one, handling and socializing them and doing puppy tests to get a feel of how their personalities are. This way we can match the puppy with the new owner and what that individual wants out of the dog. All our breeding stock has OFA or German certified hips, including the entire pedigree on them. A lot dogs we breed also have some sort of working or temperament title and are out of a titled schutzhund background. Females range from 60-75 lbs. and 22-24 ” tall. Males range from 75-100 lbs. and 24-26 ” tall. All puppies are AKC registered. We occasionally have older pups for sale. The color of our puppies are very dark because of their bloodline background. We have mostly sables (black or red), dark black and red/tan, bicolor and solid black. We do not have traditional saddle back black and tan that is very light.
Cairn Terriers
Our Cairns carry champion bloodlines from 6 different countries. We have some great top show line kennels in our pedigrees with many of the dogs being champions. The ones that don’t have this title are still excellent dogs which produce high quality. We have spent a long time picking and saving good bloodlines to breed healthy and happy Cairns for families to love and enjoy. We breed excellent quality dogs that are raised with a lot of handling and socialization. We have lots of children and people around all the time to make sure this happens. Cairns love attention especially when ours see a treat coming! Our Cairns produce a variety of colors that are red, wheaten and brindle(multi color). Cairns are known to change colors throughout their lives so we can’t guarantee color 100%. Our breeding stock comes from pups we have bred, imports and other excellent breeders. Our Cairns produce sizes ranging from 11 – 19 pounds.
Health & Nutrition
Our puppies go home worm free, the first dose of just parvo/distemper vaccine and get a complete physical with a State Health Certificate from our veterinarian. We have a sales contract with a one year health warranty for both breeds and one year warranty for crippling hip dysplasia on German Shepherds. We replace the dog with another one when it becomes available but don’t require that you return the affected one. We stay in touch with all the owners and welcome any calls for help or problems throughout the life of the dog. They are our babies too and we want to know that they and you are happy.
We 100% feed raw diet for the health and longevity of our dogs. It is a species appropriate diet that dogs are supposed to be eating as they are carnivores. The coats, muscle tone, weight, clean teeth and strong immune system are some of the super benefits. Stool volume is next to nothing. Their body uses every bit of the food so there is no waste. All of our litters are raised on raw too. Kibble food is highly processed, sprayed with synthetic vitamins, minerals, dyes and fats from rendered animals. They are loaded with carcinogens. Kibble is one of the main factors in dogs having allergies, yeast problems and health issues. It is a poor quality diet. We also do everything naturally. No flea, tick, heartworm from the vet as these are pesticides and are neurotoxins that work on the nervous system. It literally is poisoning the dog every month. So many issues happening with seizures being number one, anxiety, aggression problems etc. Only core vaccines are used the first year and then we use titer tests to show proof.
Our Facility
Hena-C Kennel has a state of the art kennel facility. Our kennel sits on 7 acres of private, wooded land surrounded by a large area of wetlands that has an abundance of wildlife and beautiful brooks. We have a 36′ wide by 50′ main building that has 17 indoor/outdoor runs (completely covered outside), grooming room, office, bathroom/laundry. All the floors in the building have radiant heat including the outside runs. We also have A/C for the summer. Our place has an added bonus of being bug free for the comfort of our dogs as we spray the property with natural products.We have divided our kennel in half in the run section to have a separate side for our whelping area. This allows the moms and pups to have a bigger and more secluded place to be. The other side is for the individual dogs. We also have a 20’ x 10’ puppy play pen that we put the pups in to play and socialize with people each day. There are also 2 small outside buildings with 8 covered pens for daytime use. Our dogs live in immaculate conditions with no fleas or parasites. We are licensed with the State of NH and have yearly inspections. We are proud that they use our facility as the standard for others. We are also AKC Breeder of Merit breeders and are inspected by them periodically.
